Migan
They call themselves House Migan, in parody of the Noble Houses: but in truth they are naught but a rabble of honourless space pirates, growing wealthy from the plunder of innocents.
Their name comes from the famed dread pirate of yore, Versto Migan - an honourless desperado who infiltrated House Omar's ranks under the guise of pirate hunter Serkin Maldos. It is officially denied that Versto Migan escaped the inescapable Sulidae to continue his piratical campaign of terror and found his own 'House'. Versto was hunted down and slain, but his legacy lives on with the Migan.
It is known that the Migan's reach is wide; reports of their activity have been reported throughout Lystran and Hollanni space. Most pirate activity appears attributable to them: especially the largest heists, conducted by ships, painted black and red, with bodies bolted to the sides.
The Migan is not limited to piracy - smugglers and spies alike have also admitted their membership. A few corrupt merchants have been found with Migan ties. There are rumours that some League of Free States planets are controlled by the Migan, but this is doubtful. A more likely base for the Migan would be among the Independent Worlds.
